The Ruffled Nightgown pattern was inspired by Don Daily’s whimsical illustrations in The Nutcracker, a childhood holiday classic by E.T.A. Hoffman. The long gown has options for a shirred yoke and long or three-quarter length sleeves. The bodice is lined. Puffy sleeves and ruffles on the yoke give the gown a Victorian look. This design works well in lightweight cottons, cotton blends, as well as lightweight flannel. The Ruffles can also be made from Flat Eyelet Lace.

-1/3 Yard 45" Fabric for Nightgown
-1/8 Yard 45” Contrast Fabric for Lining
-4" x 8" Fabric for Shirred Bodice (4” x 4” for Pin Tucks or Flat Front Bodice)
-1/6 Yard Gathered Lace for Neck (1/2")
-3-1/2" Hook and Loop Tape (1/2" wide or less)
-1/6 Yard (6”) 1/8” Wide Elastic
-1/2 Yard 1/4" Ribbon
-2 Buttons (Tiny 6mm)-Optional
